Why not head into town to do some shopping, have a walk along the Newry Canal (the first canal in the British Isles, opened in 1742) or Visit St Patricks Church of Ireland (the first Protestant Church in Ireland, built after the reformation in 1578).Newry is in a central position for a visit to South Armagh or the Mountains of Mourne.
